One discovery call, then a shortlist with resumes and introduction videos, within 24–48 hours of endorsement. You interview the candidates yourself and set the start date. DocVA sources and supports the assistant; the hiring decision stays with your practice.
A lot of staffing agencies disappear once your assistant starts. We don’t. A DocVA team stays with you to handle onboarding, check in regularly, and step in fast if something isn’t working. If we can’t fix it, you get a new assistant.

Founded by Nathan Barz, DocVA combines healthcare-focused recruiting, operational discipline, hands-on client service, and technology-enabled staffing systems. Our approach is practical: understand the workflow, find the bottleneck, match the right assistant, and stay involved after the placement.

Leadership
Aivee Rodriguez, Chief Operating Officer of DocVA, brings over 18 years of business operations experience and a proven track record of scaling healthcare staffing teams. Before joining DocVA, Aivee played a pivotal role at one of the largest virtual assistant companies in the industry. She led key initiatives, converted leads into lasting client partnerships, and trained the growth team to match each client with the right VA. When she joined, the company had just 2 VAs. Within three years, it grew to over 1,000 full-time VAs.
Under Aivee’s leadership, DocVA has more than doubled its VA workforce since late 2025, continuing to build reliable, high-capacity staffing solutions for healthcare organizations.
Aivee holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, majoring in Business Management at De La Salle University (DLSL). Throughout her career, she has been highly commended by every organization she has led, earning prestigious recognitions including the Growth Driver Award, the Miracle Machine Award, the Closer’s Choice Award for Master of Client Engagement, and Most Outstanding Support of the Year.
Aivee’s distinguished career spans high-impact roles across leading industries. She worked for BDO Unibank, one of the largest banks in the Philippines, where she earned multiple promotions, received the Smart Frontliner Award, and represented her branch. She served with the National Collections Office, consistently ranking as the Top Collector, and advanced through multiple promotions and recognitions at the largest Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) firm in the US and the Philippines. Expanding into international operations, she also managed full-cycle operations within Australian Aviation and high-level government projects. Throughout her career, she built a reputation for designing structured operational workflows from scratch, driving transformative growth that generated over 70x in revenue.
Her leadership combines strategic thinking with a relationship-driven approach to customer success. She stays calm under pressure, resolves difficult issues quickly, and communicates proactively, which is why clients and virtual assistants alike consistently point to her in reviews and testimonials. Aivee also coined the name Deeper Water Foundation, DocVA’s culture of seeking God first in everything the team does, drawn from Luke 5:4-6 and Isaiah 44:1-5.
Nathan Barz is a pioneer in the medical virtual assistant industry and has helped redefine how healthcare practices approach staffing. He brings a unique blend of operational and financial acumen to healthcare support, shaped by his experience advising companies through complex business and operational challenges.
Nathan earned his bachelor’s degree, Summa Cum Laude, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Before founding DocVA, he worked at Barclays Investment Bank, where he provided strategic advice to CEOs of financially and operationally challenged businesses.
